 A serving Deputy Director in the Enugu State Water Cooperation, Mr. Emeka Edoh, has been arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Enugu North Magisterial District over alleged false pretence with intent to defraud some residents of Enugu the sum of N150,000. Mr. Edoh was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Joseph Agu, Tuesday. Residents of Enugu State have risen to condemn the flogging of a nurse on her way to work on Sunday, 28th April 2024, by masquerades at Obeechera, Nsukka Local Government Area. The incident, captured in a viral video, shocked many as the masquerades, known as Oriokpa, relentlessly attacked the lady until she fell into a big drainage by the roadside. The Governor Peter Mbah Administration in Enugu State Government has awarded the contract for the revamping of Hotel Presidential, a premier hotel in the heart of the state's capital.
