In a significant event hosted by the Enugu State Ministry of Transportation, the Enugu State Transport Management Authority (ESTMA) received a significant boost with the official presentation of brand-new uniforms to its officers, commanders, and rank and file. The ceremony, held at the Ministry's premises, was attended by key officials including, the Honourable commissioner, Enugu State Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Obi Ozor, the permanent secretary Mr Ikechukwu Nnamoko, the Director for Finance and Account Mrs Tochi Ekwegbo, the Special Assistant to the governor on Transport (SA) Mrs Iphie Ugonabor, the Public Relations Officer, Mrs Odumegwu Chinwendu, Mr Ifeanyi Chukwu Frank, PA, Field Operations to the commissioner, the Directors and the HODs of the Ministry of Transportation.
The proceedings commenced with an opening remark by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Nnamoko, who expressed deep appreciation to Governor Peter Mbah for his special attention to the transportation sector, facilitating the procurement of the new uniforms for ESTMA personnel, FountainCare News Correspondents reported. Mr. Nnamoko lauded the Governor's commitment to enhancing transport regulation enforcement through this initiative.
In his address, Mr. Nnamoko also commended the leadership of the Commissioner of Transport Dr. Obi Ozor acknowledging him as one of the state's most committed commissioners. He then invited Dr. Ozor to oversee the official presentation of the uniforms.

Dr. Ozor encouraged the ESTMA officers to approach their enforcement duties with renewed vigor and energy, attributing the authority's commendable achievements to the dedication and strength exhibited by its members. He urged them to recommit and rededicate themselves to the onerous task ahead as they continue to support the digital transformation agenda of the Government of Barr. Peter Mbah.
A notable highlight of this agenda is the E-ticketing innovation, which streamlines the process of handling traffic offenders and violators of transport regulations. Through this digitally automated system, offenders can conveniently pay fines, bypassing the manual collection process and mitigating issues related to illegal extortion of motorists by ESTMA personnel.
