...NELFUND Disburses ₦9.73m to 285 Students of Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed ₦9,730,200 to 285 students of Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies, Kano State, for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The institution confirmed receipt of the funds in an acknowledgement letter dated September 7, 2026, addressed to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NELFUND. The disbursement was received in four tranches and subsequently disbursed to the beneficiary students.
According to the letter, the first tranche of ₦3,481,800 covered 101 students, while the second payment of ₦1,519,700 benefited 41 students.
The third tranche amounted to ₦1,297,000** for 42 students, while the fourth payment of ₦3,431,700** covered another 101 students.
The four payments brought the total institutional support to ₦9,730,200, benefiting 285 students under the Federal Government’s student-loan initiative.
The Acting Provost of the College, Dr. Ali Tamasi Mu’az, expressed profound appreciation to NELFUND for the intervention, describing the scheme as a valuable contribution to educational development in Nigeria.
The institution also reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining a cordial relationship with NELFUND in advancing access to education and supporting eligible students.
The disbursement highlights the continuing reach of NELFUND’s student financing programme, which is designed to ease financial barriers to tertiary education and help students pursue their academic ambitions.
For the 285 beneficiaries, the support represents meaningful financial relief and another opportunity to concentrate on their studies with reduced pressure from education-related expenses.
