...Community Leaders say Gov Mbah is a Promise Keeper

The General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of the Enugu State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), Hon. Monday Diamond, on Friday, June 12, 2026, officially commissioned the newly completed Ishiegu Owoh Community Water Project in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, bringing an end to years of water challenges faced by residents of the village.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Diamond described the project as a practical demonstration of the commitment of the administration of Governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah to improving the living conditions of rural communities through the provision of essential social infrastructure. 

He emphasized that access to clean and potable water remains a fundamental requirement for good health, improved sanitation, and sustainable community development.

The CSDA General Manager commended the people of Ishiagu Owoh Community for their active participation and cooperation throughout the implementation of the project. He urged residents to take ownership of the facility and ensure its proper maintenance to guarantee its sustainability and continuous service to the community.

 The commissioning ceremony was marked by jubilation as community members, including women, youths, and elders, celebrated the realization of a project they described as a long-awaited answer to their water needs by His Excellency Dr Peter Mbah, describing His as a Promise Keeper. 

Among the dignitaries present, the APC Councillorship Candidate for Owoh Ward, Mr. Chukwu Emeka Valentine,who applauded Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and the CSDA management for delivering a project that directly addresses the needs of the people. 

Also speaking, Mrs. Felicia Ngozi Mbanuka, expressed gratitude for the intervention, noting that the project would improve access to safe water, enhance public health, and ease the burden on women and children who previously travelled long distances in search of water.
