The Executive Chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Area, Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Enugu State Chapter, ALGON Chairman for the South-East, and Deputy National Publicity Secretary of ALGON, Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh Ede, has extended warm felicitations to fathers and father figures across Nkanu East Local Government Area and beyond as they celebrate this year's Father's Day.
In a goodwill message issued on Sunday, Hon. Edeh paid glowing tribute to fathers for their invaluable contributions to family stability, community development, and nation-building, describing them as the bedrock upon which strong families and prosperous societies are built.
The Council Chairman noted that Father's Day provides a unique opportunity to appreciate the sacrifices, resilience, dedication, and unwavering commitment of fathers who continue to provide leadership, guidance, protection, and support for their families despite prevailing challenges.
According to him, the peace, progress, and development enjoyed in many communities are largely rooted in the values, discipline, and sense of responsibility instilled by fathers in their homes and among the younger generation.
Hon. Edeh particularly congratulated the Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on the occasion, describing him as a worthy father, visionary leader, and exceptional role model whose transformational leadership continues to inspire hope and accelerate development across the state.
He commended Governor Mbah's remarkable achievements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, transportation, economic development, and human capital advancement, noting that his administration has continued to redefine governance and position Enugu State as a model for sustainable growth and prosperity.
"Governor Peter Mbah has demonstrated uncommon leadership, courage, and commitment to the welfare of the people. Beyond being a father to his family, he has become a father figure to millions of Ndi Enugu through his visionary policies, compassionate leadership, and relentless pursuit of development. His giant strides across all sectors are worthy of emulation and deserve the support of all well-meaning citizens," Hon. Edeh stated.
The ALGON leader urged the people of Nkanu East to remain steadfast in their support for Governor Mbah's administration and to continue offering prayers for the Governor as he works tirelessly to deliver on his vision of transforming Enugu State into a leading destination for investment, innovation, and economic prosperity.
He further commended fathers in Nkanu East for their commitment to raising responsible children and promoting the virtues of hard work, integrity, discipline, peaceful coexistence, and community service.
While wishing all fathers a joyful and memorable Father's Day celebration, Hon. Edeh prayed for God's continued grace, protection, wisdom, good health, and prosperity upon them and their families.
