The Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Enugu State Chapter, ALGON South-East Chairman, Deputy National Publicity Secretary of ALGON, and Executive Chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Area, Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh, has heartily congratulated Hon. Ikeje Israel Asogwa on his resounding victory in the Enugu North Senatorial District Bye-Election held yesterday.
In a congratulatory message issued on Sunday, Edeh described Asogwa's emergence as a clear reflection of the overwhelming confidence, trust, and support the people of Enugu North Senatorial Zone have in the administration of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and his transformative development agenda for Enugu State.
According to him, the outcome of the election demonstrates the electorate's endorsement of the governor's visionary leadership, massive infrastructure development, economic reforms, and people-oriented policies that have continued to reposition the state for sustainable growth and prosperity.
Edeh noted that Hon. Asogwa's victory was not only well-deserved but also a testament to his proven capacity, competence, experience, and unwavering commitment to the service of the people.
He expressed confidence that the senator-elect would provide effective representation, attract meaningful development projects to the zone, and contribute significantly to legislative efforts that would advance the interests of Enugu State and Nigeria at large.
