IMT Alumni Association in a Mess, as Group petitions National President Agodi Kanu to EFCC, ICPC and Police over Misappropriation of Alumni Funds, Abuse of Office and Impersonation.

The embattled National President of IMT Alumni Mr Agodi Kanu has been petitioned to the EFCC, ICPC and the Police for an alleged Misappropriation of Alumni funds, Abuse of Office and Impersonation.
This petition was written by a group known as the Integrity Group led by Pastor Ibelan Precious,Mr Hyacinth Okonkwo Anukaenyi, Dr Peter Nwankwo and ors.
Worthy to note that since 2023,the IMT Alumni Association under Mr Agodi Kanu has never made any meaningful achievement, despite millions of Naira being realised as Alumni Fees, rather it has been One inconsequential and unproductive audio programmes or the other, ranging from; Leadership Retreat in Ebony State in 2023,Annual General Meeting in Enugu in 2024,IMT at 50 Anniversary 2025,IMT Alumni Homecoming 2026,all were staged just to embezzle the Alumni fees being paid by teaming students of IMT.
Recall that Mr Agodi Kanu has made the Alumni Association his only source of livelihood, as he held the post of National Secretary for over 20 years without even registering the Alumni Association with the CAC,not until Lagos State Chapter registered the Alumni Association in 2023.
But Mr Agodi Kanu withdraw about 300,000 to register Forum of Alumni Association in 2024. Even when CAC Registration of Alumni was about 70,000 Naira as at 2024.
The salient question is ;
Why registering an Alumni Association as FORUM OF ALUMNI ASSOCIATION?
This is one of the many sins of Mr Agodi Kanu in the alumni association.
As it stands now, just an abandoned Proposed Alumni Office is the only single project that could be attached to the Leadership of Agodi Kanu.
No Reward for Academic Excellence on the Students,no visible Humanitarian Services,no Accountable Leadership,No Leadership direction, no Purpose no Vision. Only junketing from one hotel to another, squandering the Alumni Money and fragrant use of Power to suspend and silence Members who are opposed to his maladministration and autocratic leadership.
In a six paged petition, detailled emphasis were laid in the letter while the petitioners are pleading with the concerned security agencies to switch into action and salvage the dwindling image of the Alumni.
In addition, Lagos State Chapter of the IMT Enugu Alumni Association has petitioned Mr Agodi Kanu to the IG of Police, and as well Published a Disclaimer in the Newspaper which was jointly signed by Mr Frank Ochoma(BOT) ,Chief Michael Agubuzo(BOT)and Barr Love Okeafoagu(BOT Secretary),reporting Mr Agodi Kanu as an impersonator and filling for legal action.
The Integrity Group also called on the Enugu State Government and the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) to please look into the Activities of the IMT Alumni Association under the Mr Agodi Kanu,in order to salvage the Association.
