In a significant recognition of her humanitarian service, women empowerment advocacy, and unwavering commitment to sustainable development, Ambassador Onyinye Joy Mamah has been appointed as an Advisory Member of the G100 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Wing State Advisory Council for Enugu State, Nigeria, under the auspices of the All Ladies League (ALL).

The appointment places the renowned humanitarian and social development advocate among a select group of women leaders across the world working to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through collaboration, advocacy, and community-based interventions.

According to information surrounding her emergence, Amb. Mamah's journey into the prestigious global platform began barely a month ago when she was nominated by a colleague to join the G100 Mission Million Nigerian SDG Wing. Following the nomination, the organization reportedly conducted a thorough review process, requesting her professional profile, current engagements, leadership positions, and social media presence. After completing its due diligence procedures, virtual consultations, and internal assessments, the organization found her worthy of joining a network of influential women committed to advancing sustainable development initiatives globally.

Her eventual appointment to the Enugu State Advisory Council came following a recommendation by the Director-General, Dr. Tracey, who nominated her for the strategic role in recognition of her track record in volunteerism, community development, women empowerment, and social impact initiatives.

Reacting to the appointment, Amb. Mamah expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve once again on a broader platform, pledging to bring excellence, dedication, and selfless service to the assignment.

The latest recognition adds to an already impressive portfolio of humanitarian engagements championed by the Enugu-based development advocate. She is the founder of the Heroine Women Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering women and promoting social development, as well as the Women Support Women for Human Empowerment and Mentorship Initiative, a platform focused on mentoring, supporting, and creating opportunities for women and young girls.

Beyond humanitarian interventions, Amb. Mamah has continued to establish herself as a strong voice for women's inclusion in governance and leadership. She recently attracted statewide attention when she organized a coalition of women groups under the banner of Loudest Voices for Peter Mbah, advocating for increased female political representation in Enugu State.

During a major press briefing held at Okpara Square, Enugu, she led various women organizations in commending Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for what they described as his transformational leadership and commitment to gender inclusion. The coalition, which included Enugu State Jesus Wives, Governor Peter Mbah Authentic Squad, Women Wing City Boy Movement, Umuada Peter Mbah, Resilient Divine Widows, and Women Supporting Women Empowerment Group, appealed for the emergence of at least one female senator from Enugu State.

Speaking at the event, Amb. Mamah highlighted the absence of female senatorial representation in the state since the return of democracy in 1999, while applauding Governor Mbah's appointment of women into strategic positions. She called for greater implementation of affirmative action policies and stronger inclusion of women in decision-making processes.

Her advocacy for women, coupled with her humanitarian engagements and commitment to community development, has earned her recognition across various platforms, making her appointment into the G100 SDGs Advisory Council widely celebrated among supporters, women groups, and development stakeholders.

Observers have described the appointment as a fitting recognition of a woman whose work continues to bridge the gap between advocacy and action. With her new role, Amb. Onyinye Joy Mamah is expected to contribute significantly to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals in Enugu State while strengthening collaboration between local communities and global development networks.

For many who have followed her journey, the appointment is not merely a personal achievement but a testament to the growing influence of women leaders from Enugu State on the global stage. As she assumes her responsibilities within the G100 SDGs framework, expectations remain high that her experience in humanitarian service, mentorship, and grassroots mobilization will further drive impactful development initiatives and inspire more women to take up leadership roles in society.
