The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Enugu State Chapter has concluded its primary elections for Senate, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly positions ahead of the forthcoming general elections, with candidates emerging across various constituencies.
The exercise, conducted on Wednesday, May 21, 2026, was described by party leaders as peaceful, transparent, free, fair, and credible.
In a statement signed by the State Secretary of ADC in Enugu, Comrade AC Ude, the party disclosed that candidates emerged through consensus arrangements affirmed by delegates and stakeholders at constituency and local government levels.
For the Senate seat, Hon. Jeph Afamuefuna Ogbodo emerged as the ADC candidate for Enugu East Senatorial District.
In the House of Representatives category, Hon. Chinedu Anyeagba secured the ticket for Oji River/Awgu/Aninri Federal Constituency, while Hon. Maduegbunam Nelson Chinedu emerged as candidate for Uzo Uwani/Udenu Federal Constituency.
For the State House of Assembly positions, Hon. Kenechuku Nwankwo emerged for Enugu South Urban Constituency, while Hon. Charles Malunze clinched the ticket for Enugu North Constituency.
The party leadership commended members, delegates, and stakeholders for their unity and commitment to democratic principles throughout the exercise.
ADC also reaffirmed its commitment to internal democracy and pledged to present credible candidates capable of providing purposeful leadership to the people of Enugu State.
