The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Awgu North State Constituency seat in the Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Joachin Chukwuebuka, popularly known as BigJo, has reaffirmed his commitment to championing the interests of ordinary citizens, particularly youths, students, and disadvantaged members of society, as he continues consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a heartfelt message addressed to the people of Awgu North, the youthful politician said his decision to seek elective office was inspired by the struggles, aspirations, and resilience of the people he hopes to represent.
Quoting renowned leadership expert John C. Maxwell, BigJo stated:
"A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way."
Addressing residents of the constituency, he said:
"My dear people of Awgu North,
When I say YOU inspired me to seek the office of the State House of Assembly, I mean every struggling mother praying for a better future for her children, every talented youth looking for an opportunity, every student whose dreams are bigger than their circumstances, and every graduate waiting for a chance to prove their worth.
I did not come into politics for power or personal gain. I came because I have seen the pain of our people. I have seen brilliant minds without support, hardworking youths without opportunities, and qualified individuals denied their rights simply because they do not know the right person.
I believe that every human being is equal. The difference is often not intelligence or ability — it is opportunity.
I want to be your voice where decisions are made.
I want to be a bridge between the poor and the rich.
I want to stand for justice, fairness, peace, and equal opportunities for all.
I want to champion quality education for every child and create pathways for our youths to succeed.
This is not just my journey — it is our journey.
Together, let us build an Awgu North where talent is rewarded, hard work is recognized, and no one is left behind."
The ADC flagbearer emphasized that his ambition is rooted in service, inclusion, and the desire to create a society where opportunities are accessible to all, regardless of social status or connections.
According to him, the future of Awgu North depends on empowering young people, expanding access to quality education, promoting fairness in governance, and ensuring that every citizen has a chance to contribute meaningfully to the development of the constituency.
BigJo further called on residents to support his vision, describing the forthcoming election as a defining moment for the constituency.
"Vote HON. JOACHIN CHUKWUEBUKA (BIGJO), ADC Candidate, State House of Assembly, Awgu North Constituency," he urged.
Campaigning under the slogan, "Hope for the Youths, Strength for the People," the ADC candidate maintained that a vote for his candidacy would represent a vote for opportunity, equity, and a brighter future for Awgu North.
Political observers have noted that BigJo's message resonates strongly with young people and first-time voters, as it focuses on issues of inclusion, education, empowerment, and social justice, themes that continue to dominate political discourse across the constituency.
As the race for the Awgu North State Constituency seat gradually gathers momentum, BigJo says his mission remains clear: to be a voice for the voiceless, a bridge between communities, and a champion of opportunities for all.
