RULAAC Mourns the Passing of AIG Kanayo Uzuegbu
The Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre (RULAAC) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Kanayo Uzuegbu, describing his passing as a painful loss to the Nigeria Police Force and the nation at large.
In a condolence message signed by the Executive Director of RULAAC, , the organization extended its heartfelt sympathies to the Inspector-General of Police, officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, particularly personnel of Zone 9 Police Headquarters, Umuahia, and the Abia State Police Command.
According to the statement, RULAAC received with profound sadness the news of AIG Uzuegbu's death following his battle with cancer. The organization noted that his demise represents a significant loss not only to the police institution but also to all those who had the opportunity to know and work with him throughout his distinguished career in public service.
The advocacy group praised the late senior police officer for his dedication, commitment, and professionalism in service to the nation. It stated that throughout his years in the Nigeria Police Force, AIG Uzuegbu made valuable contributions toward the maintenance of law and order as well as the promotion of public safety across the country.
RULAAC further observed that the late officer's passing has created a vacuum within the Force and among his colleagues, associates, and loved ones who benefited from his experience and leadership.
The organization particularly conveyed its condolences to the Inspector-General of Police, the leadership and personnel of Zone 9 Police Headquarters, Umuahia, the Abia State Police Command, and members of the immediate and extended family of the deceased.
Acknowledging the pain and grief occasioned by the loss, RULAAC expressed solidarity with all those mourning the late AIG and prayed for divine comfort for his family, friends, colleagues, and associates during this difficult period.
The statement concluded with prayers for Almighty God to grant the soul of AIG Kanayo Uzuegbu eternal rest and give all those affected by his death the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
