The Enugu State Government, in partnership with Café One and the Enugu SME Center, has officially unveiled "Enugu Café One" – a state-of-the-art co-working space and digital hub aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs, creatives, and tech professionals in the state.
At the launch, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), emphasized that the hub was not just a co-working space but a symbol of the state’s commitment to fostering digital transformation, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He highlighted the importance of providing world-class resources and an inspiring environment to nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Arinze Chilo-Offiah, the Special Adviser on MSMEs & Digital Economy and Director General of the Enugu SME Center, noted that the hub would help eliminate the financial burden of office establishment for young innovators. Located at 22 Okpara Avenue, GRA, the space is designed to support collaborations, idea exchange, and mentorship. It will also offer training in tech skills, business development, and financial literacy, preparing youths for the demands of the digital economy.
Chilo-Offiah stressed that the launch of Café One was a significant step in Dr. Peter Mbah’s digital transformation agenda for the state, and a vital resource for empowering local businesses. The hub also creates opportunities for entrepreneurs to connect with investors and access government-backed programs to accelerate their growth.
The Café One initiative is set to play a key role in positioning Enugu State as a hub for innovation, offering entrepreneurs the tools and support to build globally competitive businesses.
