The Enugu State Governor Dr. Peter Mbah says His administration committed to providing medical facilities across all level in the state. Gov. Mbah represented by the secretary to Enugu State government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia made the statement at the official commissioning of the re-equipped type 3 primary health care facility in Nara, on Thursday 21st November, 2024.
He stressed that it was in view of the determination that the re-equipped Type-3 Healthcare Centre in Nara Nkanu East will provide quality, accessible and affordable primary healthcare services to the town and neighboring communities.
“A lot of reformation in the health sector of Enugu State as the state government is working tirelessly to improve healthcare infrastructure and services. The construction of 260 hospitals in every ward in the state and construction of the 250 bed modern hospital at the heart of Enugu. The list is endless, but there is nothing more touching than when you come down to the primary healthcare level, to the rural areas where we have the modern Type-3 hospitals like the one here at Nara, Nkanu East LGA, he said ".
The secretary commended Nkanu East LGA chairman whom he described as a proactive leader for his patriotism and steadfastness in complementing the efforts of Gov Mbah in delivering good governance to the people
Speaking during the event, the Nkanu East LGA chairman, and ALGON Chairman Enugu State who also on behalf of the council donated medical equipment and drugs to the Type-3 Healthcare Centre Nara , Nkanu East LGA, to complement what the state government has provided in the health facility, said that the state government has equally made positive impacts in upgrading and equipping the secondary healthcare facilities in the state, this he said will be of great impact and services to the people of the state especially those in the rural areas.
The climax of the event was the official commissioning done by the secretary to the state government Prof Chidiebere Onyia and inspection of the facilities. He was accompanied by the EXECUTIVE SECRETARY ENUGU PRIMARY Healthcare Development Agency Dr. Ifeyinwa Ani-OsAni-Oshekul
