Yesterday, the Executive Chairman of Uzo-uwani Local Government Area, Barr.Chijioke Ezugwu at the Commissioning of the Newly Re-equipped Type 3 Primary Healthcare centre in Adani thanked the Governor, His Excellency, Barr.Dr.Peter Mbah for prioritising Healthcare Services in the state especially in re-equipping and Commissioning the State-of-the-Art Type 3 Primary Healthcare centre in Adani, which he describes as the commercial hub of Uzo-uwani Local Government Area. He further appreciated the Governor for the numerous projects including building of Smart schools and Type 3 hospitals across the 260 wards in Enugu state.
Speaking further, the Chairman extolled the Governor's commitment on health, education, infrastructure and other critical sectors which he said speak to the migration of the State from 4.4 billion dollars to 30 billion dollars GDP. The Chairman also noted that Adani remains strategic in the Local Government economic development and also the tourism sector as envisioned in his administration's blueprint.
The Chairman also highlighted some of his administration's achievements barely two month in office which include: Strengthening of the security outfits by employing 320 security operatives, Grading/clearing of bushes along the roads in Uzo-uwani Local Government Area which he said, would help to curb crimes in the zone.
According to him,"Barely two months in office as the Executive Chairman of Uzo-uwani LGA, in keeping with the tomorrow is Here mantra, we are undergoing Restructuring of the security network of the neighborhood watch group and the sister security network in Uzo-uwani LGA and this is in line with the giant stride of Your Excellency in the area of security in Enugu state." With the spirit of maintaining peace and tranquility in our various Communities, we are keenly resolving Community land disputes arising from the siting of the Smart schools and the Modern hospital which Uzo-uwani is a verifiable beneficiary. We are grateful to his Excellency for all the policies and programmes he initiated in the State since he assumed office.
Concluding his speech, the Chairman also pointed out that the Executive Secretary of the Primary Healthcare development Agency deserves their support and he assured his administration's readiness to partner with the Agency including other agencies of Government in his local Government.
Also speaking, the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Primary Healthcare development Agency, Dr.Ifeyinwa Ani- Osheku thanked the Governor for Re-equipping the hospital to standard. She also promised that the hospital will give free medical screening on Hematology and other diseases. She also stated that the hospital is solarized which gives uninterrupted energy to the facilities.
Highlight of the event is the Commissioning of the Healthcare centre by the Governor ably represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof.Chidiebere Onyia.
