The PDP Women leaders ably led by the State Woman Leader, Hon. Mrs Peace Patrick Nnaji, made the above Statement when they Paid courtesy call to the Political Adviser to Enugu's Governor, High Chief, Hon. Frank Anioma(Ezesinachi), in his office at the Government House.
The women, expressed their deep satisfaction with the all-inclusive governing architecture enunciated by His, Excellency Barr. Dr. Peter Mbah and urged him not to relent.
The Women further commended Gov. Peter Mbah over his strides towards completing the International Conference Centre, Hotel Presidential, the revival of the Sunrise floor mill, on-going water reticulation, building of smart schools, type 2 Primary Health care centres and replicating same in all the 260 electoral wards in Enugu State.
The Women also requested for 35% affirmative action for women in all the Political appointments, specifically making reference to Supervisors and Development Centre Coordinators.
In his Response, the SPA Political enjoined them to be steadfast in their support to Gov. Mbah's-led Administration. Chief Anioma, assured them that Gov. Peter Mbah is gender-friendly, noting that he will continue to accommodate women in governance.
The Political Adviser, further reminded them that Gov. Mbah has justified his gender sensitivity through the emergence of Women as Deputy Chairman in the just concluded Local Government Elections, assuring them to expect more from now going forward.
