Breaking! State Civil Servants Jubilate Governor Increases Minimum Wage

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has announced an increase in the minimum wage for state workers to ₦73,000, exceeding the federal government's recently approved ₦70,000 minimum wage. This move, according to the Governor, underscores his administration's dedication to improving the welfare of the people.

The announcement was made during the gubernatorial campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ondo Central Senatorial District in Ondo City. Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted the importance of continuity in the state's developmental agenda, urging the crowd to translate their support into votes in the upcoming November 16 election.

"On November 16, I urge everyone gathered here and those who are not present to convert your support into votes for the APC to ensure the continuation of our significant progress in the state. Based on reports and my personal observations, I am confident that you all want this administration to continue beyond 2024," Aiyedatiwa stated.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, emphasized that Ondo State's decision to raise the minimum wage above the federal benchmark is a testament to Governor Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to the workforce, ensuring better living conditions for public servants.

Governor Aiyedatiwa also reassured the people of his determination to continue delivering the dividends of democracy, calling for their support to sustain the growth and progress his administration has initiated.
