"With a bold vision, a dedicated team, and a strong mandate from the people, Ogbonna's presidency is poised to usher in an era of progress, growth, and development for the Nsukka youths" he said.

Ambassador Clinton Ogbonna emerged as the new President of the Nsukka Youth General Assembly (NYGA), in a successful election held on Saturday, 7th of September 2024, at Adada Hall, Nsukka, signaling the beginning of a new era for the organization and the entire Nsukka community. The event drew a remarkable crowd of youths eager to participate in the democratic process, with many seeing this election as an opportunity to reshape the future of the Nsukka youth body.

Ogbonna clinched the presidency with a landslide victory, securing 284 votes, significantly outpacing his closest contender, Eze Martins Ebuka, who managed 106 votes. This overwhelming win not only highlights Ogbonna's widespread popularity but also reflects the confidence that the youths of Nsukka have in his leadership capabilities.

Following his victory, Ogbonna quickly addressed rumors circulating that his administration might engage in conflict with the government. Speaking firmly and decisively, he dispelled these notions, emphasizing that his mission is to work collaboratively with the government for the benefit of the youths.

"We are not elected to fight the government but to collaborate for the interest of the youths," Ogbonna stated unequivocally. He went on to explain that his leadership seeks to bridge the gap between the government and the youths, ensuring that they reap the benefits of governmental programs and initiatives aimed at development. "Our focus is not on confrontation but on cooperation. We believe that by working hand in hand with the government, we can achieve more for our people."

This statement marks a clear departure from the unfounded speculations that Ogbonna’s administration might take an antagonistic stance against the authorities. Instead, he has reassured the public that his leadership will be one of partnership, mutual respect, and progress.
