Enugu SME Conducts Successful Implementation of the Presidential Conditional Grant Enumeration Exercise at Udenu Cluster

In line with Governor H.E. Dr. Peter Mbah’s vision to improve access to loans and grants for the people of Enugu State, the Udenu Cluster recently witnessed the successful implementation of the Presidential Conditional Grant Enumeration Exercise. This initiative, designed to foster financial empowerment, saw multiple centers strategically established across the state’s local government areas (LGAs), including Udenu, where applicants eagerly engaged in the vital documentation process.

The collaboration of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, the Bank of Industry (BOI), and the Enugu State Government, through the Enugu SME Center, was instrumental in facilitating the program. These key partners joined forces to ensure that nanoenterprises; small businesses at the grassroots level could access the N50,000 grant aimed at boosting their growth and sustainability.

The grant, which has already been disbursed to over 1,072 nanoenterprises across various LGAs, serves as a financial lifeline for small businesses. It underscores the government's commitment to uplifting local entrepreneurs and creating opportunities for economic development in the region. The Udenu Cluster was no exception, with hundreds of businesses benefiting from this initiative, marking a significant milestone in the state's ongoing efforts to support small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs).
