In a landmark event held on the 24th of May 2024, the Enugu State Government celebrated the success stories of 300 youths who completed their training at the prestigious Songhai Center. The initiative, spearheaded by the Enugu State Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Industrialization, aims to ensure sustainable economic growth through advanced agricultural practices and investment in human resources.
The participants, who were trained under the auspices of the Enugu State Government, expressed profound gratitude to the Governor, Dr. Barr Peter Mbah, for his visionary efforts in promoting agricultural development and investing in the state’s youth. The training at Songhai has equipped these young farmers with modern agricultural techniques, empowering them to transform their communities and contribute to the state’s agricultural sector.
During the event, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Agro-Industrialization, Hon. Patrick Nwabueze Ubru, commended the participants for their dedication and commitment. Ubru announced plans to visit the farmlands of the trainees to assess their progress and understand their challenges.

The President of the Enugu State Young Farmers Association (ENSYFA), Kenneth Eze, speaking on behalf of the participants, expressed heartfelt thanks to Governor Mbah and the dignitaries present.
