NELFUND Disburses ₦6.02m to 286 Students of Yussuf Bala Usman College, Daura

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed a total of ₦6,022,660 to 286 students of the Yussuf Bala Usman College of Education and Legal Studies, Daura, Katsina State, for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The latest disbursement was acknowledged by the College in a letter dated August 13, 2026, signed by the Registrar, Haj. Aisha Idris, who expressed profound gratitude to the management of NELFUND for the financial intervention.

According to the acknowledgement, the College received ₦5,628,000 on January 30, 2026, covering registration fees and monthly stipends for 268 verified students.

The institution also received another ₦394,660 on June 27, 2026, for 18 verified students, bringing the total amount received under the reported disbursements to ₦6,022,660, with 286 students benefiting.

The latest intervention, according to the disbursement announcement, covers the statutory charges of verified applicants, providing financial relief and helping beneficiaries continue their studies without the immediate burden of education-related expenses.

The support further demonstrates the growing reach of NELFUND’s student financing programme across Nigeria, as students in colleges of education and other tertiary institutions continue to benefit from institutional fee and upkeep interventions.
