Ụmụada Awgu Progressive Association (a.k.a Ụmụada Awgu Global) extends its heartfelt sympathy and solidarity to the good people of Nenwenta following the recent tragic building collapse that has left the community deeply saddened and concerned.
At a time such as this, words can hardly adequately express the pain and distress that accompany such an unfortunate incident. We share in the concerns of the affected families, individuals and the entire Nenwenta community, and we pray that Almighty God will grant everyone affected the strength, comfort and grace to come through this difficult moment.
While we mourn and sympathise with those who have suffered loss and hardship, we also give thanks to God for the lives that were spared and for those who were rescued alive. Every life preserved in such circumstances is a testimony to God's mercy, and we are grateful for His protection.
We pray that God will comfort every grieving heart, heal every injured person, restore whatever has been lost, and strengthen the entire community as it comes to terms with this painful experience.
We equally commend the emergency responders, community members and all those who contributed to the rescue and emergency efforts. Their courage, prompt intervention and commitment in times of crisis remain deeply appreciated.
This unfortunate incident is also a solemn reminder of the importance of structural safety, proper building standards and the collective responsibility of individuals, professionals and relevant authorities to ensure that human lives and property are adequately protected.
To the people of Nenwenta, please know that you are not alone in this moment of sorrow and concern. Our thoughts, prayers and solidarity are with you.
May Almighty God grant eternal rest to any soul that may have been lost, heal the wounded, comfort the bereaved, protect the living, and restore peace, hope and strength to the entire community.
