…New Special Adviser to the Governor Pledges Stronger Government-Community Engagement
Former Mayor of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo, has expressed profound gratitude to the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Barr. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, following his appointment as Special Adviser on Stakeholders Relations and Community Affairs.
The appointment, conveyed in a letter dated September 21, 2026 and signed by the Secretary to the Enugu State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, marks a new chapter in Nwankwo’s public service journey and reflects the administration’s continued emphasis on meaningful engagement with communities and critical stakeholders.
In his appreciation message, Nwankwo thanked Governor Mbah for the confidence reposed in him, describing the appointment as a great honour and, more importantly, a renewed call to greater service to Ndi Enugu.
He commended the Governor for recognising the importance of maintaining strong relationships between government and the people, particularly through sustained engagement with communities, traditional institutions, professional bodies, youths, women and other stakeholders.
Nwankwo pledged to bring his grassroots experience, knowledge and commitment to bear in his new assignment, with a determination to build stronger bridges between government and communities and ensure that their concerns, aspirations and contributions receive meaningful attention.
He further assured Governor Mbah of his loyalty and dedication to the administration’s development vision, promising to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the state to strengthen engagement and support programmes aimed at improving the lives of Ndi Enugu.
The new Special Adviser described his appointment as more than a position, but as another opportunity to serve, connect and contribute to the development of Enugu State.
He expressed appreciation to God, Governor Mbah and Ndi Enugu for the opportunity, pledging to justify the confidence reposed in him through diligent, inclusive and people-centred service.
