…Says Honour Reflects Intellectual Journey, Enterprise, Vision and Commitment to Public Service
Hon. Peace Patrick, Deputy State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, has congratulated the Enugu State Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on his conferment of an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree by the University of East London in the United Kingdom.
The prestigious recognition, conferred in London, represents a significant milestone in Governor Mbah’s journey from the classrooms of the University of East London to the highest level of public leadership in Enugu State.
In a congratulatory message, Hon. Peace Patrick described the honour as a fitting recognition of Governor Mbah’s intellectual journey, entrepreneurial accomplishments, leadership and commitment to public service.
She noted that the significance of the award is further underscored by the fact that the University of East London is Governor Mbah’s alma mater.
“This is not merely an honour bestowed on an alumnus. It is a recognition of a journey defined by knowledge, enterprise, vision and service. Your Excellency’s story demonstrates that education becomes most meaningful when knowledge is transformed into impact and leadership is used to improve the lives of others,” she stated.
Hon. Peace Patrick said the international recognition had brought additional pride to Enugu State, describing Governor Mbah as a leader whose developmental vision continues to attract attention beyond the shores of Nigeria.
She particularly commended the Governor’s emphasis on education, human capital development, infrastructure, innovation and economic transformation, noting that these priorities are essential to positioning Enugu State for sustainable growth.
“As Deputy State Chairman of the APC in Enugu State, I am proud to join the people of our dear state and Nigerians at home and abroad in celebrating this well-deserved recognition of one of our own,” she stated.
Hon. Peace Patrick further prayed that the honour would inspire Governor Mbah to continue dedicating himself to the development of Enugu State and the advancement of humanity.
