In another landmark international recognition for Enugu State, celebrated humanitarian, gender advocate and community development champion, Amb. Onyinye Joy Mamah, has been appointed to lead the Enugu State Chapter of The Abrahamic Movement – Nigeria Chapter, following an extensive leadership evaluation by the Global Abrahamic Movement (GAM), a United States-headquartered international peacebuilding organisation.
The appointment marks a significant milestone in Amb. Mamah's growing international profile and places her among a select cadre of leaders entrusted with advancing the Movement's global mission of fostering reconciliation, interfaith harmony and sustainable peace.
Her nomination was formally conveyed in an official letter signed by the Executive National Secretary of The Abrahamic Movement – Nigeria Chapter, Prof. Adamu Shaffa, who described her record of humanitarian service, women's empowerment, mentorship and community transformation as a perfect reflection of the Movement's core values.
According to the letter, Amb. Mamah's leadership qualities align with the organisation's guiding philosophy of "Healing Historical Wounds, Building Bridges and Sustaining Peace," expressing confidence that she would provide purposeful leadership for the Movement in Enugu State.
The appointment has also received the endorsement of the International President of the Global Abrahamic Movement, Mr. Tom Wegner, who described Amb. Mamah as an exceptional humanitarian leader whose impact continues to inspire positive change.
Announcing the appointment, Wegner said he was delighted to witness another major step in the global expansion of the Abrahamic Movement.

Observers believe the endorsement from the organisation's global leadership further underscores the confidence reposed in Amb. Mamah's capacity to champion peacebuilding initiatives and strengthen interfaith collaboration in Enugu State.

Fondly referred to by many as "a voice for the voiceless" and "a pillar of hope for women and vulnerable communities," Amb. Mamah has consistently championed causes that uplift disadvantaged groups while inspiring the next generation of female leaders.
Her impressive portfolio of achievements continues to attract both national and international recognition. She recently emerged unopposed as Chairperson of Advocacy of the Civil Society–Scaling Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN), strengthening her role in policy advocacy and nutrition-focused interventions across Nigeria.
She also serves as an Advisory Member of the G100 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Wing State Advisory Council for Enugu State under the auspices of the All Ladies League (ALL), joining distinguished women leaders across the world committed to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Beyond humanitarian work, Amb. Mamah has become one of the most influential advocates for women's political participation in Enugu State. Through the Loudest Voices for Peter Mbah platform, she mobilised women across the state in support of greater female representation in governance while promoting affirmative action and inclusive leadership.
