The growing national visibility of Enugu State under the administration of Governor Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah received another significant boost as prominent sons and daughters of the state secured strategic leadership positions in the City Boy Movement (CBM) during the Movement's National Retreat and Leadership Inauguration held at the Presidential Banquet Hall, Aso Villa, and the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja.
Political stakeholders at the event described the latest development as further evidence that Governor Mbah's pragmatic leadership and deliberate engagement with key national institutions have continued to position Enugu State as an active beneficiary of opportunities at the centre.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was represented by his Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, while the Founder of the City Boy Movement, Seyi Tinubu, Director-General Hon. Francis Oluwatosin "Shoga" Francis, National Women Leader Ummulsama Rabiu, Deputy National Women Leader Hon. Sophie Uzodimma, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and other dignitaries witnessed the inauguration.
A defining moment of the retreat was the successful harmonisation of the Movement's leadership structure nationwide, bringing members under one united platform ahead of intensified grassroots mobilisation for the 2027 general elections.
Among the biggest beneficiaries of the national exercise was Chief Prince Emeka Mamah, who was formally inaugurated as the Director of the City Boy Movement in Enugu State.
His emergence was celebrated by delegates as a recognition of his organisational capacity, commitment to grassroots mobilisation and unwavering dedication to strengthening the Movement across Enugu State.
Also inaugurated was Amb. Mrs. Amaka Nweke, who assumed office as State Coordinator, Women Affairs. Widely respected for her passion for women's inclusion, community mobilisation and leadership development, her appointment was applauded as a major boost to the Movement's drive to deepen female participation in political engagement.
Similarly, Engr. Onyinye Okpalamma Akubilo was inaugurated as the State Deputy Coordinator, Women Affairs, bringing additional experience and strategic leadership to the women mobilisation structure in Enugu State.
The Enugu delegation also featured several frontline leaders of the City Boy Movement who actively participated in policy sessions, strategic discussions and planning meetings aimed at strengthening the organisation nationwide.
