WOSCONET Condemns Abduction of Children in Ogbomoso
…Calls for Urgent Rescue of Abducted Children, Mobilizes Nationwide Prayers
The Women Support Women Community Network (WOSCONET) strongly condemns the heartbreaking abduction of children in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. This cruel act is an attack on the innocence of our children, the sanctity of education, and the peace of our communities.
As we go about our daily lives, enjoying the comfort and safety of our homes, our hearts are heavy with thoughts of these innocent children.
While most of us are under our duvets, covering ourselves and our children because the weather is cold, let us remember that there are children as young as 2, 3, and 4 years old in a forest somewhere in Ogbomoso. They should be in the warmth of their homes, surrounded by the love of their families, celebrating life, playing, learning, and creating beautiful memories.
Instead, they are exposed, afraid, frightened, and uncertain of what tomorrow holds. This reality should stir our hearts and awaken our collective conscience.
WOSCONET calls on all Nigerians, faith-based organizations, community leaders, and people of goodwill to remember these children and their families in prayers. We urge the relevant authorities and security agencies to intensify efforts to ensure their safe and immediate rescue.
We stand in solidarity with the affected families and communities during this painful period.
Let us lift these innocent children before God in prayer:
"God of little children, arise and fight for them. Stretch forth Your mighty hand and bring them back safely to their families. Lord, for the sake of these innocent children, show mercy. Protect them from harm, comfort their hearts, strengthen their families, and let Your divine intervention prevail. In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
Every child deserves love, protection, education, and the warmth of a family. Their lives matter. Their safety matters. Their future matters.
