The Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB), a political mobilization platform established to promote and deepen the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was formally inaugurated on Wednesday at the prestigious Banquet Hall of Aso Villa, Abuja, in a ceremony attended by top government officials, party leaders, and stakeholders from across the country.
The historic event was convened by the APC National Woman Leader and founder of the movement, Hon. Dr. Mary Alile Idele (PhD), who described the inauguration as the beginning of a new chapter aimed at strengthening grassroots support for the administration's policies and programmes.
The colourful gathering attracted an array of distinguished personalities, including the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, members of the APC National Working Committee, serving and former governors, senators, ministers, APC State Women Leaders, party faithful, and other eminent dignitaries.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Alile Idele emphasized that the Tinubu Torch Bearers would serve as a formidable platform for mobilizing citizens, especially women and young people, towards active participation in nation-building while promoting the ideals of good governance and inclusive development championed by the President.
According to the organizers, the movement is designed to further entrench the Renewed Hope Agenda by fostering stronger engagement between the government and the grassroots, creating opportunities for civic participation, and reinforcing the achievements of the current administration.
The inauguration was marked by an atmosphere of optimism and solidarity, with participants describing the initiative as a strategic vehicle for consolidating the gains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and expanding its support base nationwide.
Many attendees hailed the launch of the Tinubu Torch Bearers as a significant milestone in the party's political and developmental journey, expressing confidence that the platform would contribute meaningfully to advancing the vision of a more united, prosperous, and progressive Nigeria.
