The Enugu State chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has congratulated the Senator-elect for Enugu North Senatorial District, Chief Ikeje Asogwa (Ide n'Iheaka), on his resounding victory in the just-concluded senatorial bye-election.
In a congratulatory message jointly signed by the Chairman of NMA Enugu State, Rtn. Dr. Sunday Okafor, and the General Secretary, Dr. Chima Edoga, the association described Asogwa's victory as emphatic, well-deserved, and a reflection of the confidence reposed in him by the people of Enugu North Senatorial Zone.
The association noted that the victory was a testament to the Senator-elect's longstanding record of service, grassroots engagement, exemplary leadership, and unwavering commitment to the welfare and progress of the people.
NMA Enugu further described Chief Asogwa as a distinguished award recipient of the association, a respected statesman, mentor, and community leader whose victory has brought pride and joy to the entire medical community in the state.
The association expressed confidence that the Senator-elect would justify the overwhelming mandate entrusted to him through quality representation, purposeful leadership, and effective advocacy for the interests of his constituents.
The medical body also stated that the outcome of the election was, in no small measure, a validation of the transformational leadership and people-centred governance of the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
According to the association, the massive support received by Chief Asogwa's candidature reflects the growing trust of Ndi Enugu in Governor Mbah's commitment to delivering good governance and sustainable development.
