The Executive Chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Area, Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Enugu State Chapter, ALGON Chairman South East, and Deputy National Publicity Secretary of ALGON, Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh, has congratulated the Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on the third anniversary of his administration, describing the governor’s leadership as visionary, transformative, and people-oriented.
In a congratulatory message issued on Friday, May 29, 2026, Hon. Edeh commended Governor Mbah for what he described as “three remarkable years of purposeful governance, infrastructural rebirth, economic advancement, and institutional reforms that have repositioned Enugu State on the path of sustainable growth and prosperity.”
According to the ALGON Chairman, Governor Mbah’s administration has, within a short period, restored hope in governance and demonstrated that leadership anchored on vision, courage, innovation, and accountability can truly transform society.
“Just three years in office, your administration has remarkably transformed lives, restored hope, and redefined governance with a people-first approach. From infrastructural development to economic empowerment, youth engagement, healthcare delivery, agriculture, education, tourism, and innovation, your bold strides continue to bear the fruits of progress that touch every corner of Enugu State,” Hon. Edeh stated.
He noted that Governor Mbah has remained faithful to his administration’s mantra, “Tomorrow Is Here,” by translating campaign promises into visible projects and measurable impacts across sectors.
“Indeed, Governor Mbah’s three years in office have stayed true to his inspiring mantra, ‘Tomorrow Is Here,’ ushering in a new era of purposeful leadership and tangible impact. Your administration has rekindled the confidence of the people and positioned Enugu State as a beacon of excellence, innovation, investment, and possibility,” he added.
Hon. Edeh further expressed profound appreciation to the governor for the confidence and support extended to local government chairmen in the state, noting that Governor Mbah’s leadership style has enabled council chairmen to operate effectively and contribute meaningfully to grassroots development.
“At ALGON, we are specially grateful for the trust Your Excellency has reposed in us. Your constant support, genuine interest, and unwavering belief in our ideas and innovations have made our work seamless and our responsibilities easier to deliver.
“You have created an enabling atmosphere for all local government chairmen to thrive, excel, and deploy their creative and organizational capacities towards the success of your administration without interference,” he said.
The Nkanu East Council boss praised the governor’s inclusive governance model, stressing that the administration’s developmental initiatives have positively impacted both urban and rural communities across the state.
He highlighted several achievements of the Mbah administration, including aggressive infrastructural renewal, expansion of road networks, modernization of public facilities, healthcare reforms, improved access to quality education, youth empowerment initiatives, agricultural transformation, security enhancement, and the drive toward industrialization.
Hon. Edeh also lauded the administration’s commitment to innovation and economic development, especially the adoption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and electric vehicles in public transportation, policies aimed at improving ease of doing business, and strategic investments targeted at making Enugu a leading commercial and industrial hub in Nigeria.
“From transforming the state’s infrastructure, including the development of modern transport systems and investment-driven policies, to expanding healthcare access, improving education, promoting agriculture, tourism, technology, and creating a conducive environment for investors, Governor Mbah has significantly elevated the standard of governance in Enugu State within just three years,” he stated.
He further described Governor Mbah as a compassionate leader whose dedication to the welfare of the people continues to inspire confidence among citizens and stakeholders.
“Your Excellency, your commitment to people-oriented projects and programmes has uplifted the lives of many and reflects a deep sense of service, compassion, and responsibility to Ndi Enugu. The strides you have made in promoting unity, development, and prosperity are a testament to your vision and unwavering dedication,” Edeh remarked.
Calling on opposition voices to support the ongoing transformation in the state, the ALGON Chairman urged all political stakeholders and citizens to unite behind Governor Mbah’s developmental agenda for the collective good of Enugu State.
“To those who are still in opposition, we encourage them to embrace the shining light of development and prosperity that Governor Mbah has brought to Enugu land.
