The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) aspirant for the 2027 Enugu East Senatorial Election, Professor Jehu Onyekwere Nnaji, on Wednesday underwent screening alongside other aspirants seeking the party’s ticket for the poll.

According to him, “This is a defining moment when party faithful and the people must make a choice not just for today but for the future.

“Leadership is not merely about occupying a position; it is about vision, compassion, service, integrity, and the courage to stand for the people at all times.

“If elected, I will represent a fresh and progressive path toward quality representation of the Enugu East Senatorial Zone in the Senate.”

Nnaji, a Professor of International Law and Global Politics, further stated that the Senate requires individuals who understand the struggles of ordinary citizens and possess the intellectual capacity to influence policies that would improve the lives of the people.
