Dr. Johnpaul Anih-Led Enugu NDC Welcomes Delegates To National Convention

The Enugu State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), under the leadership of Dr. Johnpaul Anih, has warmly welcomed delegates, party leaders, stakeholders, and observers arriving for the party’s National Convention.


In a statement issued on Friday, the State Chairman, Dr. Johnpaul Anih, described the convention as a defining moment in the collective effort to reposition the party for national relevance and prepare for the challenges ahead of the 2027 general elections.


Dr. Anih stated that the Enugu State chapter remains committed to the ideals of internal democracy, unity, inclusiveness and grassroots mobilization, stressing that the convention would further strengthen the party’s structures across the country.


According to him, the gathering of party faithful from different states reflects the growing acceptance and expansion of the NDC as a platform for national transformation and people-oriented leadership.


“We are delighted to welcome delegates and leaders from across the federation to this important national convention. This convention represents another opportunity for members of our great party to deliberate on the future of Nigeria and the role the NDC will play in providing credible leadership for the country,” he said.


The chairman urged delegates to conduct themselves peacefully and uphold the spirit of unity and brotherhood throughout the convention proceedings.


He further called on party members to remain focused, disciplined and committed to the vision of building a stronger and more formidable political movement capable of addressing the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians.


The Enugu NDC leadership also expressed confidence that the outcome of the convention would usher in a new era of growth, stability and strategic direction for the party at all levels.


Party supporters and stakeholders who spoke during the build-up to the convention described the event as timely and significant, noting that it would help consolidate the gains already recorded by the party in different parts of the country.
