Residents of Ezeagu Local Government Area in Enugu State are set to witness a landmark development as the Governor of Enugu State His Excellency, Barr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah will on Saturday, April 11, 2026, officially commission the ultra-modern Ezeagu Sports and Cultural Centre.
The highly anticipated event, scheduled to hold at the Ezeagu Local Government Council Headquarters, Aguobu Owa, marks another significant milestone in the administration’s drive to expand infrastructure, promote youth development, and boost cultural heritage across the state.
The facility, described as a multi-purpose complex, boasts a 2,000-capacity pavilion, three conference halls, an executive VIP lounge, and a massive learning centre designed to serve as an ICT hub, library, and museum with an estimated 3,000 seating capacity. Additional features include relaxation balconies, ample parking space, and other modern conveniences aimed at positioning the centre as a hub for sporting, cultural, and intellectual activities.
The event will be hosted by the Executive Chairman of Ezeagu LGA, Dr Vita Ndu, alongside top government officials, stakeholders, and members of the public.
The commissioning underscores Governor Mbah’s commitment to grassroots development and his vision of transforming communities through strategic investments in infrastructure and human capital development.
The ceremony is expected to commence at 10:00 am, drawing dignitaries from across the state and beyond.
