....Reaffirms Support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda
The Enugu State Women Leader of the City Boy Movement, Amb. Mrs. Amaka Nweke, on Tuesday joined the South East Zonal leadership of the movement on a strategic courtesy visit to the Governor of Enugu State, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, at the Government House, Enugu, in a move aimed at strengthening political collaboration and grassroots mobilisation in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The visit, led by the South East Zonal Coordinator of the movement, Obinna Iyiegbu, provided an opportunity for the leadership of the City Boy Movement in the region to formally introduce the organisation, highlight its objectives, and reaffirm its commitment to promoting civic participation and political awareness in alignment with the policies and programmes of the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking after the meeting, Ambassador Nweke described the engagement as productive and inspiring, noting that the visit further strengthened the relationship between the movement and the Enugu State Government while reinforcing the commitment of women within the organisation to grassroots mobilisation and political education.
According to her, the delegation used the opportunity to express unwavering support for the administration of Governor Peter Mbah and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu, while also exploring possible areas of collaboration aimed at enhancing community development and citizen engagement across the state.
“We were warmly received by His Excellency and his team of experts. The Zonal Coordinator briefed the governor extensively on the objectives and activities of the City Boy Movement and our alignment with the president’s transformative initiatives. We reiterated our readiness to support the developmental vision of the governor while mobilising women and citizens across the grassroots to sustain the Renewed Hope Agenda,” she stated.
Ambassador Nweke further explained that the discussions also focused on strengthening grassroots political participation, encouraging civic engagement among women, and mobilising support for the reelection of both President Tinubu and Governor Mbah in 2027.
She noted that the governor appreciated the visit and commended the movement for its proactive approach to citizen engagement, expressing his willingness to collaborate with the organisation in areas that would promote development and inclusive governance in the state.
The Enugu State Women Leader described the outcome of the meeting as highly encouraging, adding that the delegation left Government House with renewed optimism and a clear pathway for future engagement and collaboration.
Ambassador Nweke also used the opportunity to commend the national leadership of the City Boy Movement for providing strategic direction and inspiration to members across the country. She particularly hailed the Grand Patron of the movement and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his bold leadership and reform-driven Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at repositioning Nigeria’s economy and governance system.
She equally applauded the Patron of the movement, Seyi Tinubu, for his unwavering commitment to youth and grassroots mobilisation, which she said has continued to inspire young Nigerians and women to participate actively in governance and nation-building.
Ambassador Nweke also commended the Director General of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, for his strategic leadership in coordinating the activities of the organisation nationwide, as well as the National Women Leader, Hajiya Ummusalma Rabiu, and the Deputy National Women Leader, Sophia Uzodimma, for their dedication to strengthening the women’s wing of the movement across the federation.
While praising the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the Women Leader noted that the ongoing transformation across various sectors in the state continues to inspire confidence among citizens and supporters of the movement.
She emphasized that women within the City Boy Movement in Enugu State remain committed to supporting progressive leadership while mobilising communities at the grassroots to promote unity, development, and sustained political participation ahead of future elections.
The delegation to the Government House included the Deputy Women Leader of the movement in Enugu State, Engr. Onyinye Okpalamma, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Mobilisation, Hon. Mrs. Ifena Onoh, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Diaspora Matters, as well as zonal, local government, ward, and unit leaders of the City Boy Movement across the state, among other key members of the organisation’s executive structure.
