Hon. Charles Ilodi, Senior Special Assistant on WASH and President General of Ihenyi Agarama Autonomous Community in Eha-Amufu, has commended the Executive Chairman of Dr. Obiora Obeagu-led Isi-Uzo Local Government Area for what he described as transformative leadership and the steady delivery of democratic dividends to the people of the council area.

Ilodi praised the council chairman for his development-driven approach, noting that the administration has continued to bring meaningful changes to communities across the local government. According to him, the visible projects and improvements in infrastructure and community development reflect a leadership committed to improving the welfare of the people.

“You are truly delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area,” Ilodi stated while expressing appreciation for the chairman’s commitment to grassroots development.

He particularly hailed Hon. Dr. Obiora Obeagu for what he described as the remarkable transformation of Eha-Amufu into a rapidly developing urban centre. Ilodi noted that the infrastructural and socio-economic progress being witnessed in the area represents a forward-looking vision that aligns with the aspirations of the people.

According to him, the pace of development in Eha-Amufu is a clear indication that the council leadership is focused on sustainable growth and the long-term prosperity of the local government area.

Hon. Charles Ilodi is widely recognized as a dynamic young leader whose influence cuts across various demographics due to his strong dedication to grassroots mobilization and party loyalty. His political engagement and service-oriented leadership have earned him recognition within and beyond his community.

During the electioneering period leading to the emergence of Peter Ndubuisi Mbah as Governor of Enugu State, Ilodi played a strategic role in the campaign activities of the ruling party. He served as the Deputy Director of Mainstream Media for the Enugu East Senatorial Zone in the Peter Mbah Campaign Organization.

In that capacity, he was actively involved in media engagements and publicity efforts, working closely with key campaign figures including Kingsley Udeh, the then Honourable Attorney-General of Enugu State, who now serves as the Federal Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, alongside other committee members.

Ilodi also served as the State Youth Leader of the New Face of Enugu, a prominent support group that played a significant role in mobilizing thousands of voters across the state in support of the gubernatorial campaign.

Furthermore, he was an active member of the Enugu East Campaign Council led by Okey Ogbodo, which spearheaded voter sensitization activities across the 17 local government areas of the state. The council’s outreach initiatives included distributing exercise books to students and engaging faith-based institutions through church visits to canvass support and encourage civic participation.

Observers note that Ilodi’s continued advocacy for grassroots development and recognition of impactful leadership reflects the growing partnership between community leaders and government officials aimed at sustaining development across Isi-Uzo Local Government Area.
