The Enugu State Government, through the Enugu SME Center / Office of Digital Economy (Enugu MSME & Startup Agency), participated in Interswitch Techconnect 5.0, held at the Carlton Swiss Grand Hotel, Enugu.
The event, themed *“Scaling Digital Payments: Tackling Infrastructure, Financial Proficiency, and Fraud for Inclusive Growth,”* brought together leading innovators, policy experts, and financial technology stakeholders to discuss the future of Nigeria’s payment ecosystem.
Representing the State Government, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Digital Economy and MSMEs / Director-General, Enugu SME Center, Mr. Arinze Chilo-Offiah, highlighted the transformational vision of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, whose administration is positioning Enugu as Nigeria’s foremost hub for innovation, financial inclusion, and digital transformation.
Under Dr. Mbah’s leadership, Enugu State is building the foundational infrastructure for a digital-first economy, expanding broadband and payment systems, empowering MSMEs and nano-enterprises through financial-literacy initiatives, and embedding trust through forward-looking policies such as the Enugu Startup Bill and the State MSME Database.
