The Honourable Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Enugu State on Legislative Matters, Rt Hon Paul Nnajiofor JP, has applauded Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for the successful launch of Enugu Air, describing it as a “jinx-breaking, historic landmark” that has repositioned Enugu State on the path of intentional and transformational leadership.
Rt Hon Nnajiofor, in a statement on Tuesday, noted that the launch of the state-owned airline is not just an infrastructural milestone but a “significant breakthrough in the economic revival of Enugu State”, reflecting Governor Mbah’s clear vision for industrial growth, job creation, and global competitiveness.
“Governor Peter Mbah has once again proven himself as a reference point in intentional and transformational leadership in Nigeria. The launch of Enugu Air is not only jinx-breaking but a clear testament to what purposeful leadership can achieve within a short period,” Nnajiofor stated.
He observed that the takeoff of Enugu Air is a testament to Mbah’s commitment to expanding economic opportunities, enhancing connectivity, and positioning Enugu as a hub for commerce and investment in Nigeria and across Africa.
Rt Hon Nnajiofor, who described the governor’s achievements within two years as unprecedented, noted that the people of Enugu now have a leader who matches words with actions, setting the pace for innovative governance and people-centred development.
“This milestone has come to pass because we have a governor who is intentional, strategic, and relentless in driving projects that matter. Enugu Air is not just an airline; it is an economic lifeline, a channel for our youth to find jobs, and a gateway for investors to see Enugu as a serious player in the national economy,” he said.
Nnajiofor called on the people of Enugu State to continue to support and partner with Governor Mbah’s administration, noting that the government’s commitment to infrastructure, security, water, education, and economic rebirth requires the active participation of citizens to fully realise its potential.
“As we celebrate this landmark achievement, I call on Ndi Enugu to see the launch of Enugu Air as a reminder of what we can accomplish when we rally behind purposeful leadership. Let us continue to support and partner with Governor Mbah’s administration to build the Enugu State of our dreams,” he concluded.
The Special Adviser reaffirmed the commitment of the legislative arm and his office to continue working collaboratively with the executive to drive policies and legislation that will sustain the economic transformation currently taking place in Enugu State under Governor Mbah’s leadership.
With Enugu Air now officially in operation, Nnajiofor expressed confidence that the initiative will drive tourism, facilitate business growth, and significantly boost Enugu’s internally generated revenue, further cementing the state’s reputation as a beacon of progress in the Southeast and beyond.
