The Executive Chairman of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area and Deputy Chairman ALGON Enugu state, Hon. Ugo Ferdinand Ukwueze, will on Wednesday, May 29, 2025, host a civic event in honour of the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, to mark his second anniversary in office.
The celebration, which is scheduled to take place at the Igbo-Eze South LGA Secretariat, Ibagwa-Aka, by 9:00am is expected to attract stakeholders, political leaders, traditional rulers, youth groups, and residents from various communities across the LGA.
Speaking ahead of the event, Hon. Ukwueze described Governor Mbah as “a modern wonder in the realms of governance, whose administration has redefined governance in Enugu State through innovation, transparency, and result-driven policies.
According to him, the celebration is a way of appreciating the giant strides recorded by the Mbah-led government in the areas of infrastructure development, education, health, water provision, digital governance, and economic transformation.
"Governor Mbah's performance in just two years has set a new standard in leadership, and we, the people of Igbo-Eze South, are proud to identify with his achievements," Ukwueze said.
The event will feature cultural performances, a documentary showcase of the governor’s achievements, goodwill messages, and solidarity speeches from key political stakeholders in the area.
The council boss called on all residents, party faithful, and supporters of the PDP in the LGA to turn out en masse and join in the celebration of what he described as “two years of purposeful leadership and transformational governance in Enugu State.”
