Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh, Chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Area (LGA) and Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Enugu State Chapter, joined His Excellency, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, alongside other local government council chairmen, family, friends, and associates, to pay their final respects to the late Mrs. Josephine Anichukwu. Mrs. Anichukwu, fondly referred to as "Mother-Isreal," was the mother of Hon. Uche Anichukwu, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media. The burial ceremony was held in Nomeh, Nkanu East LGA.
In his remarks to newsmen, Hon. Edeh described the late Mrs. Anichukwu as a devoted Christian and a selfless woman who dedicated her life to serving others. He praised her unwavering commitment to service and the values she upheld throughout her life, emphasizing that her passing was a significant loss not only to her family but also to the community at large.
The ceremony was graced by an outpouring of tributes from dignitaries, community leaders, and loved ones, all of whom highlighted the profound impact Mrs. Anichukwu had on those around her. Her legacy of kindness, dedication, and integrity was celebrated by all in attendance.
On behalf of Enugu ALGON, Hon. Edeh extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, urging them to take solace in the exemplary life their late mother lived and the enduring legacies of excellence and integrity she left behind. He assured the family of the support and prayers of the entire ALGON community during this difficult time.
