The former Speaker of Enugu State House Of Assembly who representated the good people of Nsukka East Constituency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Chinedu C. Nwamba (Ochudo), has once again proven himself to be a man of the people. As part of his cherished yearly tradition, he hosted an impactful event at his hometown of Ehalumona, bringing smiles and hope to widows, children, and other members of the community.

Dr. Nwamba, with his characteristic humility and compassion, distributed bags of premium-quality rice and cash gifts to the widows, children, party faithfuls, and others in attendance. Speaking at the event, Ochudo emphasized the essence of Christmas as a time to express love and compassion. "Christmas is not just a time to celebrate; it is a season to show love. As long as God grants me life, I will continue to stand by my people, offering whatever support I can, especially in these challenging times of economic hardship," he said.

He acknowledged the difficulties many Nigerians face today, noting that his gesture, though modest, is his way of showing solidarity with his people. "It’s not easy to reach out in these tough times, but this is my way of letting you know that you are not alone," he added.

The atmosphere at the event was electric as the beneficiaries, especially the widows, expressed their heartfelt gratitude. Many sang songs of appreciation, showering prayers and blessings on Ochudo for his unwavering support and generosity.

One of the highlights of the day was a lively children’s dancing competition. The children enthusiastically showcased their talent, and winners in each category, over 100 children that came for the party went home with money: However, the event took an even more touching turn when one of the young dancers offered a heartfelt prayer for Ochudo. Deeply moved by the child’s sincerity, Dr. Nwamba announced an incredible gesture: a full scholarship covering her education from JSS1 to her SS3 final examinations.

The event was a celebration filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit. There was an abundance of food, assorted delicacies, and a variety of drinks to ensure everyone had enough to eat and drink.

Dr. Nwamba’s actions reaffirm his place as a true leader and a man of the people. His commitment to uplifting his community, especially during the festive season, serves as a beacon of hope and a reminder of the power of kindness.

Indeed, Ochudo remains a symbol of love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his people.
