The Chairman of Ezeagu Local Government Area, Dr. Vitalis Chinedu Ndu has kicked off the rehabilitation and refurbishment of the Awha Imezi-Awha Ndị Agu road, a vital 8.4 km route that's been in disrepair for a long time. This road is crucial for connecting Ezeagu Central and Ezeagu North, facilitating the movement of people, goods, and products.
Initially, the road was part of a federal government intervention constituency project, but it was abandoned, causing significant challenges for residents. The poor state of the road made it difficult for the people of Awha Ndị Agu to access the Aguobu Owa headquarters, leading to considerable hardship for the community.
During the flag-off ceremony for the construction, Dr. Vita Ndu highlighted that this project marks the beginning of his administration's efforts to alleviate the struggles faced by farmers in transporting their produce to markets. “This is the first of many interventions aimed at mitigating the hardships experienced by our farmers and ensuring that residents can easily connect to the council headquarters", Dr. Ndu stated.
