UDENU LGA CHAIRMAN PLAYS HOST TO DELEGATION FROM NIGERIA UNION OF TEACHERS

Today, the Executive Chairman of Udenu LGA — Akachukwu Eze Akachukwu , met with a three-man delegation from the Nigeria Union of Teachers  (NUT), Udenu Chapter. The delegation, led by Chairman Comrade Timothy Eneje, visited the Executive Chairman as part of advocacy effort to strengthen ties between the Union and the Local Government administration.


During the meeting, which was held at the Chairman’s office, Comrade Eneje expressed the union’s commitment to collaborating with Aka’s administration. The visit aims to align educational strategies and enhance the overall learning environment for pupils and students in Udenu.


The Executive Chairman welcomed them and commended them for their pivotal role in shaping the future of education in Udenu. He highlighted the importance of an effective education policy which he has for the Local Government Area, stressing that teachers are essential to driving an education revolution within the community. “I am genuinely happy to have you here today. Your role as educators is crucial; you are the frontline agents of change in our society,” Aka stated.


He used the opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to prioritizing education, noting that improving educational standards is a key facet of his administration’s agenda. He urged the teachers to remain steadfast in their duties and assured them of continued support from the Local Government.


Comrade Eneje, responding to Aka’s remarks, reiterated the union’s readiness to work together to achieve a common goal: improving the educational landscape of Udenu. “We are here to pledge our support and collaboration with your administration,” he said. “Together, we can create a conducive learning environment that will benefit our students and, ultimately, our society.”


The meeting concluded with both parties expressing optimism about future collaborations/meetings aimed at enhancing educational standards and facilities in Udenu LGA. The engagement was seen as a promising step towards building a mutually beneficial relationship that prioritizes the educational needs of the communities.
