BREAKING: Governor Swears in Ex-speaker as Special Adviser, 16 Perm Secs

In line with his mission for inclusive governance, the executive goovernor of Taraba State Dr. Agbu Kefas, on Thursday, officially appointed Josiah Kente as Special Adviser on Political Matters, alongside 16 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Executive Chamber of Government House, Jalingo.

During the event, Kefas emphasized the crucial role of integrity, professionalism, and dedication in public service. He highlighted that the success of his administration depends heavily on the contributions of these key officials and urged them to prioritize service to the state.

"You are the key drivers of our governance," Kefas remarked, adding that the people of Taraba would directly feel the impact of their decisions. He called on the appointees to uphold the principles of good governance, service delivery, teamwork, and professionalism, ensuring that their conduct sets an example for others.

Speaking on behalf of the newly appointed officials, Josiah Kente, a former speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, expressed gratitude for the appointment. He pledged their commitment to aligning with the governor's vision of inclusive governance and serving with integrity.

Kente stated, "Political leadership is not just about power; it is about service, listening to the voices of our people, and working tirelessly to translate their aspirations into reality." He assured the governor that the appointees would work diligently to support the administration’s goals and strengthen democratic institutions across the state.
