On Monday morning, October 14, 2024, after a brief illness, Tinuade Ladoja, the wife of the former Governor of Oyo State and Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja, passes away at the age of 71.
The news of her death was confirmed by the former governor’s media aide, Adeola Oloko, who, in a brief statement, said, “Yes, it is confirmed. She is dead. May God rest her soul.” Her death has left a significant void, not only in the family but also among members of her religious community.
Tinuade Ladoja was a key figure in the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), where she played an important role as a member of the Pastor-in-Council, the church's highest decision-making body. Her contribution to the church and her dedication to its growth were deeply recognized.
The CCC Ikeja Parish 1 Cathedral, where she was a devoted worshipper, paid tribute to her in an emotional post on their Facebook page, stating, "It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. We submit to His will. #farewell."
Her passing marks a great loss to the Ladoja family, the CCC community, and the many lives she touched throughout her life. May her soul rest in peace.
