ANAMBRA WOMEN GENERAL ASSEMBLY COMMENDS GOV. PETER Mbah FOR PROMOTING INCLUSIVE GOVERNANCE


 The Anambra Women General Assembly (AWGA), an apex women group for women of Anambra State origin, both by marriage, in Nigeria and the diaspora, renowned for advocating inclusion and good governance, has commended the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for fostering inclusive governance.

In a statement by the Enugu State Coordinator of AWGA, Pastor Kate Obodoekwe-Izuora, the group expressed its profound gratitude to the governor for creating a political environment that accommodates people from diverse backgrounds; We commend The Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Barr Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for Successful PDP Congress that produced Engr. Onyi Odibe, who hails from Anambra State, as the new Organising Secretary of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State. This is a clear demonstration of his commitment to fostering unity and regional integration, setting a positive example for other leaders in the South East and beyond"

"Governor's visionary leadership and inclusive approach, which not only empowers individuals across ethnic lines but also strengthens the political and social fabric of Enugu State. We are confident that such progressive steps will enhance cooperation and mutual development within the region, creating a more united South East where opportunities are available to all, regardless of their state of origin" 

Pastor Obodoekwe-Izuora emphasized that this inclusive approach is not only a win for Enugu State but alsoe promotes unity and regional integration in political leadership across the South East, thanking Governor Mbah for providing a level playing field, allowing Engr. Odibe to contest and win in the just-concluded PDP Congress. 

Engr. Onyi Odibe, a seasoned leader, has previously contested for both Councillor in Ward 7, Achara Layout, and for the Enugu South Urban Constituency seat in the House of Assembly.

He has served in several key capacities within the Enugu South Local Government, including as Supervisor for Agriculture and Works. Additionally, he has worked as a Special Assistant to various local government chairmen on Political Affairs and Revenue Generation at different times.

Engr. Odibe currently serves as the State Secretary of the AAIDE Consultative Assembly (Abia, Anambra, Imo, Delta, and Ebonyi), further reflecting his active engagement in regional politics and development.

The Anambra Women General Assembly praised Governor Mbah for recognizing Engr. Odibe's talents and leadership skills, allowing him to contribute meaningfully to the governance of Enugu State, despite his Anambra State origin.
