The July edition of the monthly prayer rally of the Enugu State Women Prayer Network was a resounding success, bringing together a diverse assembly of women leaders, ministers, politicians, and community members at Okpara Square Independence Layout Enugu. Championed by Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, the First Lady of Enugu State, the event redefined the unity, strength, and spiritual depth of the women of Enugu.
The highlight of the event was the inspiring prophetic message by the guest speaker, Prophetess Mrs. Nkem Adu, who spoke on the topic "Women that Carry God's Light in Them." Prophetess Adu's powerful sermon emphasized the pivotal role of women as bearers of divine light and catalysts for positive change in society. She called upon the women of Enugu to embrace their spiritual gifts and lead with courage and compassion in their communities.
In addition to Prophetess Adu, Evangelist Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi (mni), the Coordinator of the Enugu Women Prayer Network, also delivered a compelling speech. Dr. Ugwuanyi encouraged the women to remain steadfast in their faith and united in their efforts to support the state's government and its initiatives. She highlighted the importance of prayer, collaboration, and continuous empowerment in achieving lasting progress for Enugu State.
The event saw an impressive turnout, with attendees including women House of Assembly members, Commissioners, representatives from CAN, PFM, CWOs, NGOs, professional bodies, NULGE, and women leaders from the 17 local government areas. Women from various churches, political affiliations, and walks of life joined in fervent prayer for the state's success, enhanced security, unity among women, and equitable resource distribution.
The collaborative spirit was palpable as women engaged in meaningful discussions and forged stronger bonds of solidarity, peace and unity of Gov. Peter Mbah's Administration.
The women took turns to express gratitude for the overwhelming support of the First Lady, Mrs Nkechinyere Mbah and participation, lauding her commitment to fostering unity, empowerment, and collective action among the women of Enugu State. They emphasized that the prayer rally was more than just a spiritual gathering according to the wife of the Governor; as it doubles as a movement towards a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
The Enugu State Women Prayer Rally has indeed set a precedent for future gatherings, showcasing the power of unity, faith, and collective action in driving positive change. While the women of Enugu continue to carry God's light within them, their collective efforts promise to illuminate the path towards a more prosperous and harmonious state.
