NEW YEAR PRAYER RALLY: The Office of The First Lady Enugu State & Enugu State Women Prayer Network to Kick Off the Year with Prayer Rally tagged "Victory Service/New Year Festival of Praise".

In a bid to usher in the new year with spiritual fervor, the Enugu State Women Prayer Network is set to kick off its monthly prayer gathering for the year theme; "Victory Service/New Year Festival of Praise" on the 9th of January 2024. Hosted by the Office of the First Lady, Enugu State, the event will take place at Okpara Square, Enugu, starting at 9 am.

Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, the Wife of the Governor of Enugu State, extends a warm invitation to women ministers, chairpersons, and women from the 17 local government areas. The event is open to women from all churches, women politicians across political parties, wives of political office holders, as well as wives of traditional rulers and town union presidents, teachers, and market women.

The primary objectives of the Enugu State Women Prayer Network include praying for the success of the government, ensuring security in the land, fostering unity and love among Enugu State women, advocating for empowerment and equitable distribution of democracy dividends, and organizing training and seminars on women-related issues.

The First Lady, Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, the Wife of the Governor of Enugu State, has demonstrated her unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes during the festive period. 

Notably, Her Excellency embarked on a heartfelt mission during the Christmas, visiting over 15 motherless homes, hospitals, and centers for the less privileged. Mrs. Mbah not only extended her benevolence by paying hospital bills for indigent citizens but also generously contributed cash and materials to widows across the 17 local governments during the last day of the prayer meeting in 2023. Her compassionate efforts showcase a dedication to uplifting the vulnerable segments of society, reflecting her tireless commitment to fostering positive change within Enugu State.

This spirit of compassion aligns seamlessly with her appeal for unity, love, and collective prayer at the upcoming event. By dedicating time and resources to those in need, Mrs. Mbah not only exhibits her commitment to uplifting the community but also underscores the importance of seeking divine intervention for the betterment of Enugu State. The Women Prayer Rally, therefore, becomes an extension of her holistic approach towards fostering positive change, uniting women from diverse backgrounds to collectively dedicate the state to God for a prosperous and harmonious year ahead.

Established in 2002 and sustained by Evangelist Mrs. Favour Ngozi Ugwuanyi, the Coordinator of Enugu State Women Prayer Network and her Assistant, Pastor John Ogbodo, and other dedicated ministers, the Enugu State Women Prayer Network aims to reinforce teamwork with the Wife of the Governor and the entire women community in Enugu State.

Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah emphasizes the significance of this prayer gathering, calling on women from various sectors to unite en masse to dedicate the year 2024 to the God Almighty. The event promises to be a powerful expression of collective spirituality and commitment to the welfare and progress of Enugu State as a whole.
