The former speaker of Enugu State who represented Nsukka East Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly for a three productive tenures, Rt. Hon. Chief Chinedu Nwamba PhD, has been honoured by His Royal Majesty Igwe Sam Aneke "The Okwuluoha V1 of Udi Ancient Kingdom with a prestigious meritorious Royal Chieftaincy Title "Nwachimereze 1 of Udi Ancient Kingdom" for his contributions towards Igbo cultural preservation and promotion, and his humanitarian activities in Enugu State and beyond.

Speaking during the coronation, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Sam Aneke particularly said the chieftaincy title; "Nwachimereze 1 meaning a child crowned by God" is conferred on Rt. Hon. Chinedu Nwamba because he was one of the leading political office holders in Enugu who protected the interest of every group during his time in the state house of assembly and while he was speaker of the House.
HRM, Igwe Aneke stated that it was in recognition of Rt. Hon. Chinedu Nwamba's “outstanding commitment to Human Capital Development, Peace and Unity of the entire state. "The honour is deserving", this chieftaincy title is not to only celebrate his community services and quality leadership worthy of emulation, but to also reinforce and reinstall the bond between and among the people of Nsukka-Asadu Sociocultural region and Ojebe-Ogene/Udi-neke-Udi Kingdom"
"Rt. Hon. Chinedu Nwamba, the Ochudo Eha-Alumona who also doubles as the Okosisi of Eha-Etiti has shown courage, astuteness and firmness, becoming even more determined and committed in providing purposeful, focused and visionary leadership in our society. Obviously ecstatic, the women of the community sang praises of their newly crowned beloved chief, while praying for God's wisdom on him to have a peaceful leadership, describing him "the light that illuminates beyond his immediate community".
In his acceptance remark, Nwachimereze 1 Of Udi, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Nwamba said he is committed to creating additional societal-pillars to re-enforce the existing structures and unity across community borders in order to improve sustainable development of and peace.

"He expressed his deepest appreciation to His Royal Majesty for honoring him with the meritorious Royal Chieftaincy Title. The line-up of activities included the conferment of the title, Royal Grand Reception of Rt. Hon Chinedu Nwamba as the newly Crowned Nwachimereze 1 of Udi Ancient Kingdom, Council of Traditional Rulers and Dignitaries who graced the prestigious groundbreaking event which held in Udi LGA.
Also in attendance were Chief Anthony Nwamba , Chief Ejike Chime (the Ohamadike of Udi), and a host of others.
