In a heartfelt Instagram post on their 20th wedding anniversary, Transcorp Group President, Owen Omogiafo, shared the challenges faced at the start of her marriage with husband Osato Omogiafo.
Mrs. Omogiafo revealed that at the beginning of their journey together, times were tough, recalling that her husband didn't have an engagement ring due to financial constraints. Despite this, their commitment to each other remained unwavering.
Reflecting on their early struggles, she expressed gratitude for their journey from paying for wedding rings in three installments, totaling N35,000, to their current circumstances. The couple started their married life in a humble flat on Beecroft Street, Lagos Island.
"It’s been 20 years of doing life with you... a lot of folks did not believe we would make it," Mrs. Omogiafo wrote on Instagram. She emphasized their commitment to each other through thick and thin, citing the challenges they faced, including secondary infertility and the painful loss of their baby son.
Despite the hardships, Mrs. Omogiafo expressed gratitude for the faithfulness of God and acknowledged her husband, Osato Omogiafo, as a constant source of support. She thanked him for being her rock, pushing her when faced with challenges, and helping her stay true to herself.
As the couple celebrates two decades of marriage, the post serves as a testament to love, resilience, and the strength of their bond that has withstood the test of time.
