The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) is in mourning following the unexpected demise of Prof. Innocent I. Okafor, the Acting Provost of ESUT College of Medicine, on Saturday, December 9th, 2023.
In response to this tragic event, the university has declared a two-day suspension of major academic activities, including examinations and meetings, on Monday, December 11th, and Tuesday, December 12th, 2023. This decision, announced by University Registrar Ambrose G. Ugwu, reflects a collective tribute to the late medical luminary, allowing the university community to grieve and honor Prof. Okafor's significant contributions.
