Enugu people have continued to celebrate a heartwarming display of humanitarianism of a former Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who continues to transform lives through his Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme. This initiative has recently proven its worth by saving the lives of three individuals in dire need of medical intervention.
Among the beneficiaries, Mrs. Ugwuoke Bibian, a 32-year-old woman from Orba Town in Udenu Local Government Council, faced a critical health crisis due to multiple uterine fibroids. Thanks to the myomectomy procedures performed under the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, she has been successfully treated, and her life restored.
Another beneficiary, Mr. Ugwu Victor Ifeanyi, a 30-year-old from Eha-Alumona, had an abnormal growth on his face. The Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme provided the surgical procedures necessary for its removal, earning heartfelt gratitude from his family for this compassionate gesture.
Additionally, Ugwueze Arinze, a 26-year-old from Ohom Orba, also in Udenu Local Government, suffered from inguinoscrotal hernia. The Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme stepped in with herniorrhaphy procedures, alleviating his health concerns.
Dr. George Ajogwu, the Director-General of the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, expressed his immense joy and appreciation for Hon. Ugwuanyi's unwavering commitment to the healthcare needs of Enugu citizens. Dr. Ajogwu emphasized that this dedication persists even after Hon. Ugwuanyi's tenure as Governor, showcasing unity with the current administration led by Governor Peter Mbah and Deputy Governor Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai.
